Foreigners visit Russia more often than before

The increase in the number of visas issued can be attributed to the following factors:

  1. “compensatory growth” after restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. improved transport accessibility – increase in the number of connecting and direct flights.
  3. Weak ruble exchange rate against the dollar and euro, which makes travelling to Russia more attractive for foreigners.
  4. Increased business activity of foreigners who come to open or develop their own business in Russia.
